Aloha!

Howzit and mahalo for dropping in. We are Jon and Sheri Taketa of ShakAZ Grindz, LLC and we are a Arizona based Cottage Food licensed family/home-based small business catering to the needs of those wanting a taste of our own personal favorite snacks we loved while growing up in Hawaii.

We had fun coming up with the name 'ShakAZ Grindz' as combined elements of who we are nicely complemented each other into a catchy title. And then we had our graphic artist cousin Garrin Yabuta, based in Los Angeles, design our cool logo. It's not so much cutesy as it is cool! There's many elements of the logo that symbolize who we are and where we come from. Take a look for yourself. 

We've been blessed in reaching out and networking through our business and have met some amazing people and secured friendships along the way. AZ Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp owner Jesse Huihui is coincidentally my former student from Hawaii and is running a successful business. He was the first person we reached out to to get the 'lay of the land' so to speak. He, along with 808 Social, have opened their doors to us and even offered to sell our products. We hope for their continued support in the future. Other mentors we've been blessed whom have guided us in our beginnigs are Blaise and Kanani Aki from Pacific Rum and Sushi, the Ka'ahanui Ohana from Ohana BBQ/TK Goodies, Charis Browne from 808 Social, and Tracey Takahata from She Hearts Crystals.

And lastly we'd like to thank all of our patrons who have enjoyed our products, thus far. Through sales and donations, we are truly enjoying providing our products and seeing the smiles on our customers faces knowing that they are loving a little taste of and Aloha and providing that temporary bridge to a place where we still call 'home!'
