Waiakea Water

What do you do if you’re a proud Waiakea High grad, call Hilo your home, and looking for a quality water to use for your baking business? Simple! Contact Waiakea Water and see if they’d like to assist in our endeavors. So that’s what we did, they liked our story, and decided to provide us some assistance. How blessed are we! 😂 We promised them to use their water in line with their vision and mission: to promote positive health and to practice living sustainably and living ethically.  Mahalo Waiakea Water for this fabulous opportunity! 🤙🏻

We got to share some mochi with Hawaii funny man Tumua Tuinei. In exchange, he had a chuckle picking on us sitting in the second row! Hilo!!! And also enjoy fueling up da AZ Braddahz during a golf outing. Click on link below.🤙🏻 https://www.instagram.com/tv/CfAqXiKgn0o/?igshid=NmZiMzY2Mjc=

We’ve been blessed to master the production of Chi Chi Dango mochi. We pack it in different ways: 6-pack, Mauna Kea Poke Pack, and the Mauna Loa Poke Pack. We could even customize party platters by special request. We could be the first to coin the poke name. So catchy and so looks like the real poke I grew up eating.  The Mauna Kea Poke Pack is one pound of mochi goodness while the Mauna Loa is a half pound. Get it? Haha…so creatively cute and appropriate.  Lastly, our mochi is fueled by Waiakea Water. We are fortunate and blessed to have partnered with them as they appreciated our story of Jon being a proud Waiakea grad and will be spreading the good word on the mainland. Other partners of theirs include local stud Kolten Wong and Yankee Aaron Judge.  Unreal similarity!

Aloha!

Howzit and mahalo for dropping in. We are Sheri and Jon Taketa of ShakAZ Grindz LLC and we are a family and home-based small business catering to the needs of those wanting a taste of our own personal favorite snacks we loved while growing up in Hawaii. We had fun coming up with the name 'ShakAZ Grindz' as combined elements of who we are nicely complemented each other into a catchy title. And then we had our graphic artist cousin Garrin Yabuta, based in Los Angeles, designed our cool logo. It's not so much cutesy as it is cool! There're many elements of the logo that symbolize who we are and where we come from. Take a look for yourself.  And we've been blessed in reaching out and networking through our business and have met some amazing people and secured friendships along the way. AZ Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp owner Jesse Huihui is coincidentally my former student from Hawaii and is running a successful business. They, along with 808 Social, have opened their doors to ...
